subscribers the international roaming
service.
This
became a reality after Karabakh Telecom
succeeded
in registering as a full member in the GSM Association on
September 2003, and since then Karabakh Telecom's
objective is to have as much roaming partners as
possible.
The
roaming service allows our subscriber to easily use Karabakh Telecom
mobile line in all
the countries all over the world with whom Karabakh Telecom
has signed
international roaming agreements.
The added
value advantage of roaming, is that our subscriber will be
able to stay in contact with his/her family, friends,
relatives and colleagues at work, and contact any number in
the world, and receive calls from all over the world, using
only the current Karabakh Telecom
mobile
line.

How to
subscribe to Karabakh Telecom International Roaming
service?
If you
currently have international access on your mobile line,
please visit any of Karabakh Telecom
GSM service
centers to fill out our "Roaming Service Activation" form and
deposit an amount of 100,000 Drams.
This
service will be activated during 2 hours following the
request.
How to
make and receive calls while roaming?
When you
arrive at your visited international destination, your mobile
handset will automatically search for the strongest network
available. In
case your mobile handset does not select an available network,
then you can select the available network manually by choosing
it from the Network Menu in your mobile
handset.
How to
make a call to another country while you are in roaming
status?
All you
have to do is to directly dial the country code followed by
the related area code or mobile network code and then the
desired phone number.
How to
make a call to a number in the country you are roaming
in?
Remember
when you are roaming in a certain international country you're
mobile line is integrated into that international country's
mobile operator's network. Accordingly, when you
need to make a call to any local number whether to a fixed
number or to a mobile number, you have to dial the city code
or trunk code or the network code of your selected
destination, followed by the desired phone number as if you
are making a local call.
How
are the tariffs of the International
Roaming?
While
Karabakh
Telecom's
subscriber is roaming in any international country, the
outgoing calls (whether local or international) made, will be
charged in accordance to the rates of the network our
subscriber is roaming in.
On the
other hand, incoming calls to Karabakh Telecom's
subscriber will be charged as the international rate from
Nagorno Karabakh to the country where Karabakh Telecom's
subscriber is roaming.
Important
Note-1: All of the incoming
calls on Karabakh Telecom's
subscriber while in a roaming status, are in fact calls that
are forwarded from Karabakh Telecom's
network to the country's network the subscriber is roaming
in.
Important
Note-2: Karabakh Telecom's
subscriber has to switch off and then on his/her mobile phone
handset at the moment he/she arrives/returns to Nagorno
Karabakh in order to reset the mobile phone handset commands
to the Karabakh Telecom
network.
