The Short Message Service (SMS) is a means of communication through short text messages.
The Short Message Service is the ability to send and receive text messages to and from mobile phones that use GSM digital mobile telephone standards.
The Short Message Service is also the ability to receive short messages from e-mail to a mobile telephone.
The text may comprise words, numbers or alphanumeric combination
A single short message can contain up to 160 text figures using GSM alphabet coding.
The Short Message Service is a possibility:
- To be in touch with and communicate when speaking is inconvenient or impossible;
- To econimize without restricting communication
- To be sure that the delivery of the message is guaranteed;
- To send greetings to wished persons;
- To inform what cannot be said loudly.
To activate the Short Message Service you are welcomed to Karabakh Telecom GSM Customer Care Center.
To process the Short Message Service all you have to do is to enter the Message Center Number +37497200622 in your GSM handset` s message settings menu to be able to send short messages to Karabakh Telecom, as well as to other operators` subscribers,further more that.
- Messages will reach your phone even if you have readdressed your calls to another number;
- If your phone is disconnected or is not available, you will receive message as soon as the phone is connected or entered the coverage zone;
- The message can be received during a telephone conversation or Call Wait mode;
- Don`t forget to delete old messages (limited quantity of short messages can be kept in the phone) in order to get free space for new messages;

Recieving short messagesfrom Armenia , CIS countries and abroad within the territory of NKR is free of charge.
In case you have defaults with sending short messages:
- Make sure that the Message Center Number registere in the SIM card was not accidentally deleted;
- Make sure your Short Message Service was activated in Karabakh Telecom GSM Customer Care Center.
